Our good friend Darren Bradley recently sent us some photos he took while traveling with his family through Australia. Thanks for making us completely home sick Darren! We hope you enjoy. The first image below is of the MLC Center design by one of Australia’s most prolific Architects, Harry Seidler.
Below is a cloudy view of the pools at Bondi Icebergs. These historic pools were founded in 1929 & sit along side the world famous Bondi Beach. Both Ivan & I had the pleasure of working through our previous employer on the remodel of the great Bondi Icebergs Clubhouse building which you see a glimpse of in this shot.
This photo is of a part of Sydney called ‘The Rocks‘. This historic district is home to Sydney’s oldest pub ‘The Fortune of War’, we know this place well. Its also home to the Australian Hotel where you can get Kangaroo, Emu or Crocodile all on a pizza…yes, pizza.
Is that Wallaby drinking a beer?
The Sydney Opera House
The New South Wales Art Gallery – a beautiful space.
The Rose Seidler House.
Admiral’s Arch rock formation on Kangaroo Island.
Flinder’s Chase, Kangaroo Island.
These last few are the very typically Australian Rural/Coastal house that Darren & family stayed in on Kangaroo Island…notice the wonderful corrugated metal!

John Williams says it best…
True Blue, is it me and you
Is it Mum and Dad, is it a cockatoo
Is it standin’ by your mate whe he’s in a fight
Or just Vegemite
True Blue, I’m asking you
Miss you son
