March 28, 2012 by dbrds

In an effort to continually improve how we communicate our ideas & designs, we collaborated with Design Subcontracting Co. to create an animation that shows the evolution of our initial idea of the East Village Stadium concept. To show the simple transition from the Charger’s bolt logo into built form illustrates how we thought through this process & how this architecture is clearly a unique & dynamic way to represent this City through a built form. friday afternoons; they way they should be…at RAGLAN

March 23, 2012 by dbrds

Synopsis of an awesome Friday afternoon: With an invitation from Michael Soriano to check out his latest San Diego masterpiece (i’ll come back to this), Ivan & I headed over to Ocean Beach for a lunchtime pint. Meeting Michael & his co-hort, Detroit import, radical thinker, passionate speaker James Denton (who teamed with Michael on RAGLAN PUBLIC HOUSE) & Jim Gabriel (Principal Architect of Architects Hanna Gabriel Wells), what turned out to be a simple ‘pint over lunch’ turned into […]

August 29, 2011 by dbrds

Starting with Genslers proposal for the new Farmer’s Field in Los Angeles, Populous‘ bowl shaped design for the City […]

March 14, 2011 by dbrds

Last week, amongst the excitement of the East Village Stadium Masterplan concept we proposed, we also received a phone call from a very nice gentleman named Lou Hirsh from the San Diego Business Journal having heard about DBRDS through McCullough Landscape Architecture‘s President & CEO – Catherine McCullough. Mr. Hirsh was in the process of writing an article about local San Diego businesses that have gained projects overseas in order to work through the local economical challenges. Anyone who knows DBRDS, […]
