As explained in this post, the Hitech interior competition was an opportunity for us to explore interior ideas that were an extension of the exterior architectural language. The second space we are presenting in this blog is the standard 2 person office space.
Rather than enforcing a definitive style, the color palette & general ambience are designed to be neutral, as this building is home to several different political office practices. The one strong element is the carved library wall which creates a softness in the otherwise rectangular space. Linear lighting helps define the spaces & a custom planter/bookcase along the rear windows act as both storage, as well as a reflective sitting space over-looking the gardens outside. This point of reflection acts as a connection between interior & exterior spaces & defines the line that the exterior vertical language wraps inside the building.
